After studying Typographic Design at The London College of Printing, I have worked for Eye, frieze and Historic Scotland magazines. I was Art Director of Sight & Sound magazine, a monthly film magazine published by the British Film Institute, for 20 years. I am currently a freelance Art Director, often working at The Guardian newspaper.

I have extensive experience of editorial design and designed books for Phaidon and Taschen. I have
been a member of the Society of Typographic Designers and taught at The London College of Communication.
